Our criminal defense law firm is a professional corporation serving clients accused of crimes throughout the Northern Colorado area of Fort Collins, Loveland, Steamboat, and Greeley; and we concentrate on defense of people charged with serious crimes in Larimer, Weld, Jackson, and Routt Counties.  We have two experienced criminal defense attorneys who have successfully represented clients from all parts of the world in both federal and state courts in Colorado and Wyoming for nearly thirty years.  Most of our work is felony defense in District Court such as sexual assaults, sexual assault on a child, theft, and murder and serious misdemeanor defense in County Court such as sexual assault, assault, harassment and domestic violence.  We represent clients that are uncharged, but facing criminal investigation;  clients charged with misdemeanor assault, often with a domestic violence enhancement;  clients charged with sexual misconduct;  clients charged with misdemeanor assault for defending their home; clients charged with alcohol or drug offenses; and those charged with more serious felony crimes including first-degree murder.  Most of our representation is at the Larimer County Justice Center located in Fort Collins, Colorado five blocks from our downtown Office or from our Western office near downtown Steamboat Springs.

The principal attorney of the law firm, Linda Miller, has been a criminal defense attorney since 1980 with over twenty-seven years of experience helping people accused of crimes and criminal misconduct.  She is a renown instructor teaching criminal procedure and trial tactics to other lawyers each year at one or more of the two most rigorous criminal defense trial schools in the country.  She is on the faculty at the National Criminal Defense College in Macon Georgia and on the faculty at the Western Trial Advocacy Institute in Laramie, Wyoming.  She primarily handles serious crimes and felonies, including sexual assaults.

Linda Miller teaches at many Continuing Legal Education programs required for lawyers including the Colorado Criminal Defense Association.  She served two terms as a member of the Board of Directors of the prestigious National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers,  Recently, she has been nominated by her peers in Colorado and designated one of the few "Super Lawyers" practicing criminal defense in Northern Colorado in both 2006 and 2007.

Another attorney in the office who is of counsel, George Blau, has been a criminal defense attorney since 1979 and a professor of psychology since 1974 and a professor of criminal justice.  He has published a number of articles about the insanity defense, juries, and law and psychology.  He has also written a resource book that he teaches from each summer that is published by the American Psychological Association entitled:  Law and Mental Health Professionals:  Wyoming

George Blau also devotes a week of his time each year to teach other criminal defense attorneys trial tactics and is on the faculty at the Western Trial Advocacy Institute in Laramie, Wyoming.

Here you will find information about various crimes, the different levels and types of crimes, information for selecting a criminal defense attorney, and information about cases that have been successfully resolved and about our recently remodeled hundred-year-old Victorian office in downtown Fort Collins, Colorado.
