Linda S. Miller, p.c. Firm ProfileThe law firm of Linda S. Miller, p.c. has provided criminal defense representation for individuals accused of crimes since 1980 and is comprised of two lawyers and support staff. We only provide criminal defense representation and concentrate our representation on more serious crimes. Because all we do is criminal defense, we refer inquires regarding civil actions (lawsuits against other people or companies) and domestic relations cases (divorce) to other competent legal counsel that specialize in those legal areas. As discussed elsewhere, Linda Miller has practiced criminal defense for over twenty-nine years and is a member of a number of criminal defense organizations. She has served on a national board of directors for criminal defense attorneys, and each year spends at least a week teaching other lawyers about criminal defense trial procedures at one or more national criminal defense trial schools. In addition to Linda Miller, other individuals associated with the law firm include George Blau who is a full professor of psychology and professor of criminal justice, as well as a lawyer licensed in both Colorado and Wyoming. He has defended people accused of crimes for over thirty years and because of his extensive background in psychology has particular expertise in insanity and diminished capacity defenses. He has published several articles about juries, how juries reach their decisions, the use of the insanity defense, and a comprehensive book for the American Psychological Association on laws that effect mental health practitioners. We have available other attorneys who office share and are available to cover conflicts and hearings for scheduling further proceedings. Madeline is a paralegal and Notary who works in the office and helps in research, preparing pleadings, and filing documents with the court. We also have several runners, Aaron and Nathan, that file pleadings, maintain the files in the office and help maintain the office. Additionally, we use several investigation services for conducting interviews of witnesses, gathering evidence, and assisting in criminal defense. For evidence analysis, including blood analysis, we use several laboratory services. We also make use of a nationally recognized Colorado polygrapher when appropriate for the case. We also use many other professionals in the area to assist in evaluations and treatments including domestic violence and sexual therapy. AirplaneThe law office leases a modern Cessna Centurion Turbo 210 complete with a state-of-the-art GPS navigational system that has allowed us the opportunity to serve clients in state courts throughout Colorado and Wyoming quickly and efficiently.
